TechnoFair 2009 - A Showcase of Creativity & Innovation TechnoFair 2009 is our annual project exhibition organized by the School of Engineering (SoE). Visitors will see how innovative ideas are converted into useful gadgets that help make life better for society.   Engineering graduates received 1st & 2nd Upper Class Honours from NTU in 2008 The School of Engineering would like to extend our heartiest congratulations to our alumni who distinguished themselves in Nanyang Technological University with either First Class Honours or Second Class Honours (Upper) in the year 2008.   WorldSkills Singapore 2008 (Industrial Control) Congratulations to the Electrical Engineering (EE) Students who won in the Industrial Control Category in WorldSkills Singapore 2008.   6-week Overseas Immersion Programme in China for 20 students 20 students from Electronic & Computer Engineering (ECE) headed to Wuhan, China on 25th August 2008 for a 6-week immersion program at WUST (Wuhan University of Science & Technology).   Singapore's First Naval Architecture Degree Takes Off The two-year programme is offered through a partnership between Ngee Ann Polytechnic (NP), Newcastle University, and Singapore Polytechnic (SP) ...   Green wave Environmental Care Competition 2008 Congratulations to the Electrical Engineering (EE) Students who won in the Green wave Environmental Care Competition 2008, Merit Award ($1000).   Maths Carnival 2008 Students spent about 55 minutes in the laboratories to take the Mathematics Proficiency Test. They were able to see their performance in Maths proficiencies at the end of the test on the screen.   Bull's Eye Competition 2008 On 30 October 2008, 50 teams from 15 secondary schools gathered at Ngee Ann Polytechnic to pit their skills against one another at the Bull’s Eye Competition 2008.   F1 in Schools @ Marina F1 Paddock F1 in Schools & 3 Go-karts designed and built by Mechanical Engineering Division, Ngee Ann Polytechnic final year students were on display at the Marina F1 Paddock in the lead up to the inaugural Singapore F1 Grand Prix.   Parents' Forum on 26th July 2008 The Parents Forum 2008, an NP-wide event, was held on 26th July 2008. The forum was organized by Student Services for all the Schools and Divisions of Ngee Ann Polytechnic.   F1 In School – Ngee Ann Challenge Just like the real Formula 1 race, F1 in School is about Speed! Speed! and Speed! In this competition, students use Pro-Desktop software to design and model their very own Formula One model cars using Balsa wood.   F1 in Schools - The Singapore Challenge LIGHTS OFF… CAMERA… ZOOM! F1 model car race to kick off in the ‘night’ for the first time   MOU with prestigious Wuhan University of Science and Technology, China On 16 June 2008, Ngee Ann Polytechnic signed an MOU with Wuhan University of Science and Technology (WUST) to launch a diploma programme in Logistics Management in Wuhan, China in September 2008.   EE Freshmen Orientation Programme EE Society organized the 3 Day 2 Night fun fulfilled event to welcome EE and AVT new students.   NP Fun Day 2008 NP Fun Day is a Telematch event for all the new students. EE Division took part in the Telematch and won first prize in the Photo Montage Competition.   i-Create2008 - GOLD Award International Convention on Rehabilitation Engineering & Assistive Technology (i -CREATe) 2008.   MDE Graduation 2008 on 30th May 2008 The Multi-Disciplinary Engineering Division (MDE), School of Engineering, is proud to announce the achievements of the graduating class of 2008.   ECE Freshmen Orientation Camp (FOC) / Freshmen Orientation Programme (FOP) Freshmen Orientation Camp: 3-5 April 2008, Thursday to Saturday, (3D2N) Freshmen Orientation Programme: 7 April, 1300-1700 hours, NP Convention Centre (Compulsory)   Fun Games Day for Villa Francis Home for the Aged March 2008 35 students organized a Fun Game Day for the residents of Villa Frncis Home for the Aged in Mandai Road.   Youth Expedition Project (Community Service) China, ShaXian/Qitao (3rd-17th March 2008) 31 students from various schools of Engineering Divisions together with 3 staff completed the construction of a two storey high rubbish incinerator and built three concrete reserviors along the mountain streams in ShaXian and Qitao.   Product Design & Innovation pioneer batch of graduates' exhibition Ngee Ann Polytechnic's Product Design & Innovation (PDI) course will be exhibiting their final-year creations at Red Dot Design Museum this weekend.
