Five 2^nd Year Aerospace Electronics students are now $2000 richer! Their video has impressed the judges and won second prize in the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) Student Challenge 2011 held early this year. This competition is opened to all students from ITE, polytechnics and universities.
 

The competition, with the theme “Aviation Through Your Eyes”, required participating teams to produce multimedia video showcasing their vision of the future of aviation. The video should be a creative composite of various media to paint an exciting picture of Singapore Aviation in 2020.

The Ngee Ann team presented a few innovative ideas in this video about what they envisaged the future of aviation will be like. Examples are the joy of flying using flight simulator, a control tower terminal that captures a pilot’s view to minimize accidents, and an auto navigation luggage trolley that can lead the way to the right check-in counter.
