Giving you that something xtra

  • Become a sought-after professional in the exciting aerospace industry, trained in aerospace electronic systems maintenance

  • A curriculum that is aligned to the CAAS Airworthiness Requirements (SAR 66) that regulates aircraft maintenance licensing requirements

  • Six-month internships with leading aerospace companies such as SIA Engineering Company, Rockwell Collins, Thales and Eurocopter

  • Obtain Licensed Aircraft Engineer status with additional industry experience

About the Diploma

Intrigued with how all the electronic components are connected in the latest A380 Airbus? Then the Diploma in Aerospace Electronics (AE) is for you! With it, you’ll be equipped with a broad-based engineering knowledge and core skills in the areas of maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) of aircraft radio, instrumentation and electrical systems.

You will also get the chance to apply this knowledge during a six-month internship with aerospace and electronics industry leaders like ST Aerospace, the Republic of Singapore Air Force and SIA Engineering, to name a few.

With this diploma, you may be exempted from selected SAR avionics papers to become a licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer with further training in industry.

Career Prospects

With over 100 aerospace companies that serve regional and global markets in Singapore, career prospects are buoyant. It is projected that the aerospace industry will create 18,000 new jobs by 2018. AE graduates can work as aircraft maintenance engineers, participate in research and development activities, provide engineering support, or work in sales and marketing.
Further Studies

You can pursue either an electrical or electronic engineering degree course in local universities or an Avionics degree course with overseas universities like the Queensland University of Technology, University of Glasgow, University of Bristol and Queen Mary University of London.

Here are more details on the degree options and advanced standing at the universities - locally and overseas.
