About the Diploma  

With the emergence of global production networks and supply chains that service international markets across the globe, professionals in international supply chain management are in high demand. Get a headstart with our Diploma in International Supply Chain Management (ISCM)!

You will build the expertise to improve business margins and market share. Learn about the coordination of transport issues across borders, trade agreements, legal and regulatory requirements, taxes, duties, insurance, security, and offshore procurement processes from a global perspective. You can also specialise in integrated resorts and cold chain.

Under our six-month local or overseas internship, you will gain first-hand experience with industry leaders such as MAERSK and Lufthansa Cargo.

Career Prospects

Over 3,000 international and local logistics and supply chain management companies that serve global and regional markets are based in Singapore. Singapore is the busiest port in the world and Asia’s largest cargo airport. With 17 out of the world’s top 25 third-party logistics companies having a substantial presence here, your job prospects are bright. You can pursue careers in purchasing management, freight and shipping businesses,  airline and airport services, import and export businesses, transport management, risk and crisis management, the maritime industry and logistics operations.
Further Studies 

Local universities offer ISCM graduates advanced standing. For example, you may gain module exemptions at Nanyang Technological University and National University of Singapore. SIM University admits graduates to their newly launched Bachelor of Science in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. Alternatively, you can pursue further studies at the following overseas university:

  • University of Wollongong, Australia
    • Bachelor of Commence (Supply Chain Management)
You may also gain advanced standing at other Australian universities like RMIT University, the University of Tasmania’s Australian Maritime College and the University of Southern Queensland.

Entry Requirements

To be eligible for consideration, candidates must have the following GCE ‘O’ Level examinations (or equivalent) results and fulfil the aggregate computation requirements.

The aggregate computation for selection is based on grades obtained for English, Mathematics, a Humanities subject (Grade 1-9) or Art / Music (Grade 1-9) or Principles of Accounts (Grade 1-9) or a relevant OSIE / Applied Subject (Grade 1-9) and two other subjects.

Diploma Plus Programme and Elective Modules

Students can opt to take additional modules from a wide range of clusters under the Diploma Plus Programme (DPP) to further enhance and/or broaden their knowledge in a variety of discipline specific areas based on their interests and learning abilities. The Diploma Plus Certificate helps students if they wish to pursue a university degree or increase their employability in discipline-specific areas.

Students can choose the DPP clusters from the range listed below. The offer of a DPP cluster is subject to the condition that the minimum class size is met and based on available vacancies.

*  Designed in collaboration with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National University of Singapore (NUS). The syllabus is based on the first-year engineering mathematics and science curricula of NUS.


Engineering students can also pursue Diploma Plus Certificates in Business, Innovation Management and Languages (Japanese).
