About the Programme
Need more time to decide which engineering diploma to join? Confused by the areas that are covered by each diploma? If only you could experience the different engineering fields before you make a choice. Well, the Engineering Common Programme (ECP) allows you to do just that.
Enrol first, choose later. Defer your decision for a semester to gain a better understanding of the various engineering disciplines. ECP provides you with a firm foundation of engineering and relevant insights into its career options to help you identify which discipline is the right fit for you.
Nine engineering diplomas to choose from
After you have discovered your specific area of interest, you can select one of the following nine engineering diploma courses that you would like to study in the second semester^.

Entry Requirements
To be eligible for consideration, candidates must have the following GCE ‘O’ Level examination (or equivalent) results and fulfil the aggregate computation requirements.

The aggregate computation for selection is based on grades obtained for English, Mathematics, Science or Design & Technology or Computer Studies and two other subjects.
** Candidates with English as a second language must have attained a minimum grade of 6.
Candidates with severe vision deficiency should not apply for the course. Those with colour appreciation deficiency may be considered, subject to an in-house test.

Then you should apply for the Engineering Common Programme (ECP) at Ngee Ann where you'll take a broad range of Engineering modules in the first semester, and then decide which area to pursue after that. |

During the Joint Admissions Exercise, just indicate the course code N71-Engineering Common Programme as your First Choice. Then you can decide after one semester which course you want to take. |
If you opt for N71 as your First Choice, be sure to add a specific Ngee Ann Polytechnic engineering course as your Second Choice, so as to enhance your chance of being posted to your desired engineering course here.
