About the Diploma       

Want to learn how aircraft are designed for flight? Enrol in our Diploma in AerospaceTechnology (AT) and find out!

You will study the major aerospace disciplines ranging from aircraft structures and systems aircraft stability and control. This will equip you with the skills and knowledge to be part of a team that certifies aircraft like the Boeing 777 for flight.

What’s more, you’ll have a great time learning at our Aerospace Hub, which boasts an RSAF Super Skyhawk jet fighter, Bell Helicopter, Cessna plane, a subsonic wind tunnel for aircraft design and testing, a motion flight simulator and an upgraded turbojet engine test facility!

You can then hone your skills and knowledge with a four-month local or overseas internship with leading aerospace companies such as the Eurocopter, Rolls-Royce Singapore, SIA Engineering and ST Engineering.

In addition, you can get more out of our exciting Diploma Plus Programmes (DPP). For example, our DPP in Aviation Fundamentals offers modules which complement the basic flying course that leads to a Private Pilot Licence (PPL) with the Singapore Youth Flying Club. You can also take up our DPP in Aerospace Design to gain relevant skills in aircraft design..


Minor in Business Management
Delivered by Ngee Ann’s School of Business & Accountancy – the most established polytechnic business school – these business modules will equip you with what you need to be an entrepreneur, manager or marketing guru. Paired with your strong foundation in engineering, this optional minor will ensure that you enjoy a far wider range of exciting career and degree opportunities!

With the growth of the global aerospace industry, the development of new airports and the opening of Singapore’s Seletar Aerospace Park, there is a growing demand for skilled professionals such as Aerospace Technologists.

This diploma, which enjoys recognition from many established aerospace organisations, will give you a step-up when exploring such careers.

What’s more, AT will prepare you for modules in the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) Airworthiness Requirements (SAR 66) examinations so that you can get your licence as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer much sooner!

Entry Requirements   

To be eligible for consideration, candidates must have the following GCE ‘O’ Level examination (or equivalent) results.

You must also fulfil the aggregate computation requirements.

** Candidates with English as a second language must have attained a minimum grade of 6.

Candidates with hearing deficiency or severe vision deficiency including colour appreciation deficiency should not apply for the course.

Diploma Plus Programme and Elective Modules

To complete the diploma, students have to take two elective modules and they can choose these from the engineering and non-engineering clusters. To qualify for a Diploma Plus Certificate, students just need to complete a total of four elective modules, with three from the same cluster. The Diploma Plus will better prepare students for university education and widen their career opportunities.

*  The syllabus is based on the ‘A’ Level H2 Pure Mathematics syllabus. In consultation with NUS, NP graduates who have successfully completed the revised CAEM will be granted exemption from the NUS’ MA1301 Proficiency Test.
^  DPP cluster will not be offered to students taking the Minor in Business Management


Engineering students can also pursue Diploma Plus Certificates in Business, Innovation Management and Languages (Japanese).
