Alpha Centre
Alpha Centre is a technology development centre in the Mechanical Engineering Division focusing on Intelligent Robotics. It offers challenging projects to students from the School of Engineering.

The centre is equipped with up-to-date facilities and has been involved in several industrial projects with the industry.

Biomedical Engineering Centre
The Centre is actively involved in research and development work. Initiated in 1991, and becoming a technology centre by 1994, the Centre devotes a significant amount of effort in developing expertise that are relevant to the local (Singapore) healthcare industry.

Design & Rapid Prototyping Centre
The centre is equipped with facilities to produce injection moulds, compression moulds, blow moulds etc. In addition, the centre also undertakes product design and development, which brings conceptual design to production.

Digital Signal Processing Centre
The Digital Signal Processing Centre (DSP) was established to provide support to staff and students in DSP related modules and projects.

Energy & Environment Centre
The Energy & Environment Centre is an organisation set up to advance the technology know how of staff in Air-conditioning, Refrigeration & Ventilation, Clean Room Technology, Biomedical Applications of Cryogenic Refrigeration, DDC Control for Air-conditioning and CFD Applications in Air-conditioning.

Environmental Management Centre
The Environmental Management Centre (EMC) has been set up within the Building & Environment division to cultivate a research and development culture among the staff and students in the fields of environmental engineering and management.

Facilities Management Centre
The Facilities Management Centre was set up in 2002 by the Building and Environment Division of  Ngee Ann Polytechnic to promote development and transfer of knowledge in facilities management.

High Voltage Training Centre
The Center is fully equipped with the complete range of 22KV distribution network equipment interfaced to a modern SCADA System, High Voltage safety equipment complying with IEC Standard, Integrated Digital Protection & Control relays complete with computerized SI test equipment, the complete range of high voltage test equipment.

MEMS & Photonics Section
MEMS & Photonics Section was set up in July 2003 as part of NP's goal in keeping abreast with new and emerging technology. Photonics has been identified as a potential growth area by the Economic Development Board (EDB) and MEMS has also made a global impact as a key enabling technology in a very wide range of applications.

Photonics Centre
The principal aim of the Centre is to provide a broad-based and practice-oriented education and training in photonics and laser technology.

 

Power Quality Centre
The centre is setup to develop a useful learning and training facility for polytechnic students, staff as well as the industry to study power quality problems associated with electrical power supply.

Radio Frequency Centre
The Centre has involved in product design & development and applied R & D. It has been actively working closely with industry and has successfully delivered a few prototypes, some of which have led to the commercialization of such products, which are now available in the markets.

Solar Technology Centre 
The Solar Technology Centre serves as a platform for training, technology development and the sharing of know-how in solar and other clean energy technology areas. At the centre, five different types of photovoltaic modules are installed to provide a total of 14.2kW power to serve its electricity needs.
