What can I do upon graduation?
As a Quality Professional, you could be involved in
- Reviewing daily quality inspection results
- Driving continuous improvement actions with production department
- Handling customer or supplier related non-conformance matters
- Lead or support the analysis and validate corrective/preventive action
- Conduct regular internal audits for procedural/process compliance
- Document and implement any QA related procedures/instructions
What Can I do upon graduation?
You can start work as a QA Assistant Engineer. You could then be involved in
- First Article Inspection
- Initial Process Capability Studies
- Carrying out Failure Analysis
- Taking up Continuous Improvement Projects
Prospects are good and you could be promoted to become QA Engineer, QA Manager and eventually QA Director.

What can I do upon graduation?
You can also work as a Failure Analysis/Reliability Engineering Assistant. You could then be involved in
- Performing FA jobs
- Track calibration status of measuring equipment
- Perform reliability tests
- Summarizing and interpreting reliability data to help improve product quality
- Tacking key reliability indices
Prospects are good and you could be similarly be promoted to become QA Engineer, QA Manager and eventually QA Director.
What Can I do upon graduation?
If you prefer to work in non-manufacturing environment, your can start work as a Quality Service Executive. You could then be involved in
- Documentation development
- Establishing quality standards
- Assisting in the launch and maintenance of quality systems
- Conducting internal quality audit activities

The Basic requirements for applicants are: - A polytechnic diploma
- An acceptable foundation in mathematics (at least a C6 grade in Additional Mathematics for GCE O-Level or equivalent)
- A personal interview (this includes writing a short essay prior to the interview) for short listed applicants)
Note: Applicants with good results in their polytechnic diplomas will be considered for Advanced Standing at SMU. Students with Advanced Standing may be granted exemptions of up to 5 courses.
