Electronic & Computer Engineering (ECE) graduate, Mr David Kwok is the CEO of Tiny Island Productions animation studio. The studio will produce hit TV movie spin-offs for Cartoon Network channel.
 
Koh Lin Xin, NP’s 2011 Silver Medalist from the Network Systems & Security diploma course not only secured a place at the established Imperial College London in UK, he also won a prestigious National Infocomm Scholarship from the IDA of Singapore.
 
Girls can do very well in Engineering too! Miss Ng Hwee Ping, 2011 Aerospace Electronics graduate and Silver medalist, was awarded NTU College Scholarship to pursue the inaugural Renaissance Engineering Program (REP) at NTU this year.
 
Teason Phang (SOE, Class of 2004), gave up a job at Accenture, a Fortune 500 Technology Company to join the Singapore start-up, Smoov, to dabble with mobile apps and learn the ropes of project management.
 
Two groups of Ngee Ann Polytechnic Mechanical Engineering students won the 10th IES Design Awards.
 
From winning the Tan Kah Kee Young Inventors' Award and the All Japan Micromouse Competition while at NP, Eric Goh Ming Hui, now works alongside MIT professors on Research Projects involving robots and harnessing the power of fluids.
 
IDA NIS recipient Simon Toh (ECE Grad 2005) will be a step closer to his goal of becoming a "superconductor", bridging technological and business camps to encourage adoption of infocomm as key enablers of business.
 
Daryl Wee Yi Xiang, the gold medallist graduate of the Diploma in Real Estate Business course in 2009, has just been offered a place at the prestigious University of Cambridge, UK.
 
The efforts of students from Ngee Ann Polytechnic to do their bit for the environment were recognised at the Sembawang Shipyard’s Green Wave Environment Competition 2010.

The Mechanical Engineering team does S'pore proud at Shell Eco-Marathon Asia competition.
 
Two Product Design & Innovation (PDI) students from Mechanical Engineering Division, School of Engineering clinched top awards at the prestigious Designers Association Singapore (DAS) Singapore Design Awards 2010.
 
In 2010, second-year Aerospace Electronics (AE) student, Mohamad Faisal has just obtained his Private Pilot License (PPL). Faisal earned his coveted (PPL) by completing the Singapore Youth Flying Club Flying Course which is divided into 3 phases.
 
The 31st All Japan Micromouse Contest was held at Tsukuba Capio in Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan from 20 to 21 November 2010. NP really shines in this contest.
 
8 students from the Leisure & Business Facilities Management (LBFM) and the Civil & Environmental Engineering (CEE) diploma courses won a Merit prize in the GreenSparks Competition.
 
Congratulations to the following students who have won the NP Scholarships and NP Achievement Scholarship 2010.
 
Electronic & Computer Engineering (ECE) Diploma Silver Medalist, Mr Liew Chong Boon was awarded both the Lee Kuan Yew Gold Medal and the Koh Boon Hwee Scholars Award during the NTU Convocation Ceremony 2010 on 26 July 2010.
 
5 final year students from the Environmental & Water Technology (EWT) course were awarded the Sembcorp Scholarship 2010.

3 final year students (Nicholas Hang, Brayen Gan & Neo Wei Yi) from the Environmental & Water Technology (EWT) course presented a paper at the Seminar on Earth Control Measures, organised by the Institution of Engineers, Singapore.
 
6 May 2010 was the MDE Book Prize Presentation Ceremony. This was a day which we celebrated and showed recognition to the MDE students for their hard work and achievements in the October 2009 semester.
