The lab enrichment program for upper secondary school students will run from January to March 2012 and will culminate in the ChemE Car Competition in May 2012 (Click here to find out more about this competition).
 
Students will learn principles of chemistry, physics and chemical engineering and have the opportunity to express their creativity in designing their own car powered by chemical reactions of vinegar/lemon juice and baking soda!  During the workshop, you will be able to design, construct and test run a Chemical Powered Car. The ultimate thrill is to enter the ChemE Car Competition in May 2012 with your own creation and win !!

You will also view a demonstration on the fuel-cell technology in a car during the programme!

Dates: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesday or Thursday 
Time: 2 pm – 5 pm
Venue: School of Life Sciences and Chemical Technology
Cost : $10.70 per student (including GST)

Students will receive a letter of participation at the end of the workshop.
