If you are deeply passionate about the future of our planet, consider our Diploma in Environmental & Water Technology (EWT), where you will learn how to overcome many of the challenges facing the world today.

Jointly developed with the Public Utilities Board (PUB) and endorsed by the National Environmental Agency (NEA), this diploma will allow you to become a specialist in addressing crucial issues such as water and marine pollution, air pollution, waste management and climate change.

At the Centre of Innovation in Environmental & Water Technology (COI-EWT), you will work alongside research engineers and scientists on industry-based projects!

What’s more, you will be awarded additional Workforce Skills Qualification (WSQ) Certificates in Noise Monitoring, Industrial Noise Control and Management of Indoor Air Quality, which will give you better job prospects in the industry.

 
Did you know that the number of jobs in the environmental and water industry will double to more than 11,000 by 2015 and many of these are in the global arena?

With your skills, you will be well prepared to take advantage of this boom and find ready employment with government agencies, statutory boards, multinational corporations, university laboratories and research institutes.

Possible careers include working as environmental technologists, research officers, assistant engineers, water treatment specialists, and many more. You will also graduate with additional WSQ certificates that will allow you to have better job prospects as Noise Monitoring Officer and Noise Control Officer.

 
You may be granted up to one year’s exemption when you apply for environmental engineering and environmental studies degree programmes at the National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University.

EWT graduates can also be admitted to a wide range of degree programmes from business, architecture and engineering, to science and the arts at all the four local universities as well as the Singapore Institute of Technology.

You may enjoy exemptions of up to two years when you apply for related degree programmes at the following overseas universities:

• University of Birmingham (UK)
• Murdoch University (Australia)
• University of Queensland (Australia)
• University of Adelaide (Australia)
• University of Western Australia (Australia)

To be eligible for consideration, candidates must have the following GCE ‘O’ Level examination (or equivalent) results.

You must also fulfil the aggregate computation requirements.

* Candidates with English as a second language must have attained a minimum grade of 6.

Candidates with hearing deficiency or severe vision deficiency should not apply for the course. Those with colour appreciation deficiency may be considered, subject to an in-house test.
