Malayan Orchid Review
  Mr Chang Yoon Ching has had 2 articles printed in the Malayan Orchid Review. One article is on the growing of orchids in vertical systems1 and the other is a review of the book Orchids of Indonesia Vol. 1.

 Publication in CrysEngComm
  Dr. Tuti Mariana Lim's work on the synthesis of hexagonal-symmetry alpha-iron oxyhydroxide has been published in the journal CrysEngComm.
  
Publication in Molecular and Cell Proteomics
 Dr. Lau Quek Choon's research on the role of ITBG3 in the migration and invasion of colorectal cancer cells has been published in the journal Molecular and Cell Proteomics.
  
 Awards for Service to Secondary Schools
  In May  2011, Dr Joseph Kueh, Dr Koh Tse Yuen, Dr Sara Zaman received the  "Long Term Partner Award" for supporting and judging the Elementz (North Cluster) Science Research Conference and Exhibitions over the past 10 years. In September 2011, Dr. Wayne Lee Forday received an Outstanding Mentor Award at the 17th Youth Science Conference held at NTU. Dr Forday has guided numerous  students secondary schools undertaking projects over the last 20 years
   
7th SALAS/6th AMMRA Regional Conference
  The 7th SALAS/6th AMMRA Regional Conference was held in December 2011. The conference was held at the Concorde Hotel in Singapore. In the Poster Compettion, LSCT Lecturer, Ryan Kimlong Huyn was awarded 1st Prize for his poster on the Thermal Ecology of Lizards.
   
Publication in Bioresource Technology 
  Dr. Geng Anli and Xin Fengxue's paper on Ethanol production from horticultural waste has been accepted for publication in the journal Bioresource Technology.
   
Publication in Combinatorial Chemistry and High Throughput Chemistry
   Dr. Lau Quek Choon's review on the Advent of the Cancer Methylome has been published in the journal, Combinatorial Chemistry and High Throughput Screening.
   
NP Innovation Award
  Congratulations to the LSCT team comprising of Mr Gregory Chow, Mr Chang Yoon Ching, Mr Dhanenthiran Mohanadas and Mrs Tang-Lim Guek Im for winning the NP Innovation Award!
   
Completion of studies
  Congratulation to Dr. Choy Weng Keong, Mr. Dhanenthiran Mohanadas and Dr. Satyen Gautam who have recently completed postgraduate qualifications.
   
Publication in the Chemical Engineering Journal
  Dr. Tuti Mariyana Lim's paper on the photocatalytic degradation of Acid Red 88 has been accepted for publication in the Chemical Engineering Journal.

On 30 June 2006, National University Hospital (NUH) celebrated its 21st anniversary by embarking on a non-stop 8-hour charity challenge on treadmills.
