School's out !!! but guess what staff of LSCT did while you were snuggled at home in your warm bed….?! With the hectic semester coming to a close, LSCT staff came together for a relaxing afternoon of outdoor activities, games and BBQ at East Coast Park. Check out what we did to de-stress… Popular Mediacorp artistes Kym Ng and Dennis Chew visited LSCT to the film the final episode of the Channel 8 info-tainment programme, Fact or Fiction. “It is an applied science dealing with preparation and dispensing of drugs. It also involves clinical pharmacy intervention and advice on the proper use of medicines in the treatment and prevention of diseases”. Cruising down the open highway …wind in your hair…music blasting from the stereo…at 190mph on your brand new Porsche 911 Turbo...powered by soy beans….Um...wait a minute… All ready to go! Travelling in style…Formula One coaches and drivers took us to our destination – Malacca! Have you ever woke up to find your eyes tearing and red from infections? Do you want to know what causes these infections and what are the effective methods of prevention? What do you do when you find a once majestic looking tree in your neighborhood looking a shadow from its old self with its leaves falling and roots rotting? LSCT staff went nutty over Project Nutz, a Campus Road Relay held on 4 August 2006. Mrs Tang Guek Im (hence, TGI) or pronounced as “TiGi” as she is affectionately called by her students will be going back to School come this July. A safety training entitled “Risk Assessment in Laboratories” for LSCT staff was conducted by Mr Sasikumaran Pillai. On 30 June 2006, National University Hospital (NUH) celebrated its 21st anniversary by embarking on a non-stop 8-hour charity challenge on treadmills. Braving the sun and rain, the ever adventurous LSCT staff traded their hectic schedules for the pristine scenery and tranquility of the MacRitchie Nature Reserve. |
