Established in 1989, as the Department of Biotechnology, the School of Life Sciences and Chemical Technology has continued to focus on the provision of useful education through active learning. 

Our courses are designed to not only meet the current and future demands of industry in Singapore but also the ambitions of our students to proceed to higher level studies. All courses are regularly evaluated by ourexternal examiners.The former consists of experts from the industry and research and academic institutes in Singapore while external examiners are professional staff from top universities from the US, Australia and the UK.

Many of our graduates proceed to degree and higher degree level studies in Singapore and overseas.
