Closing of Library for Library System Migration


The Library will be launching a new library system with an enhanced OPAC from 17 Sep 2010 (Fri).
For better management of data migration and implementation, Library will be closed from 11 Sep 2010 (Sat) to 16 Sept 2010 (Thurs).

   How the migration will affect you?
  1. Due dates and item reservation allocation expiry dates which fall within this period will be carried forward to 20 Sep 2010 (Mon)
  2. Online reservations, renewal and User Account enquiry via Web OPAC will not be accessible from 9 Sep 2010, 5.30 pm (Thurs) - 17 Sept 2010, 8 am (Fri)
  3. Loan & return transactions at Circulation Counter and self-service machines will cease on 9 Sep 2010 at 7 pm (Thurs)
   What is available during this period?

  1. OPAC search
  2. Book and media drop bins for return of library loans. Item will be returned through the new system after migration. Fines accumulated for the closing period will be waived.

   How to use the new system?
  1. OPAC Help Guides will be posted on the Library homepage.
  2. Briefing sessions to Schools/Divisions and staff will also be available.
  3. These will be announced at a later date.
