The photo exhibition, Yesterday's Dream, was held from 14 January to 4 February 2012 at The Arts House, a landmark heritage building of the Old Parliament House.
Over 14 days in September 2011, the YEP students had numerous personal encounters with the children and youth of Dumaguete. The photo exhibition vividly portrayed their lives, hopes and dreams.
About 50 guests attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition on the first day of the exhibition. The event was graced by Her Excellency Ambassador Minda Calaguian-Cruz, Ambassador of the Philippines to Singapore, and Ms Catherine Rose Torres, Consul, Embassy of the Philippines to Singapore.

| In her speech, Ambassador Calaguian-Cruz said she was glad that the students had chosen to share their experiences and observations from the trip with the public, rather than to just keep the information to themselves or to a small group in school. By sharing, the students were helping to create awareness of the Philippines and the lives of the people in Dumaguete. Several NP directors such as Director of SDAR, Mr Mun Kwok On; Director of IS, Mr Andrew Sabaratnam and Director of BA, Mr Philip Lau, were present at the event. The Deputy Directors from IS and SDAR were also present. Special guests at the event include students’ parents, friends, former Member of Parliament, Haji Wan Hussin Zoohri and Mr Paul Koh, Director in the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF). The opening ceremony also attracted several members of public, who joined the student- conducted tours around the gallery, and asked many questions about the stories behind the photographs.
