1. What system requirements and browser versions do I need to web enrol successfully?

2. I have forgotten my log-in password, what should I do?
To reset Login password, go to https://portal.np.edu.sg/pages/main.htm and click on the “Forgot NPNet Password” link to reset your password online. A new password will be emailed to your personal e-mail account as updated in NPal Student. Please note that it takes 30 minutes after the reset for your new password to take effect.
Note: you will not be allowed to reset your password online if you have not pre-registered your personal email account in NPal Student.
Alternatively, you may go to the following nearest helpdesk locations to have their password reset using your NRIC or student ID.

BLK 72 #06-02.
3. I was logged-out by the system due to a period of screen inactivity and received "connection time-out" error message. What should I do?
You will be logged out automatically if you leave the screen unattended. Please log-in again. If the problem persists, please call Helpdesk Tel: 6460 8036. This hotline is in operation from 8.00am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday during the IS Module Enrolment.
4. I intend to do IS Module Enrolment from my home dial-up telephone line on 56.6k, is this modem speed too slow? What connection type/speed is preferable?
While it is possible to complete your IS Module Enrolment using a 56.6k dial up modem, the response time will be less than ideal. Considering the heavy web traffic to be expected during the IS Module Enrolment period, we recommend that you use at least an ADSL connection speed of 256kbps or above.
Alternatively, you can come to NP campus to do your IS Module Enrolment using the SSC computers at the NP Atrium.
Please do not use the computers in the NP library for your IS Module Enrolment.
5. After logging in with my user-id and password, I get error messages such as “Java exception error/ VBScript runtime error / Object expected at line XXX ” on screen, what should I do?
Please try one or more of the following solutions:
a) Please clear your Internet browser cache and cookies. Go to Tools > Internet Options >General tab. Click on ‘Delete Files’ and ‘Delete Cookies’, click OK, then close your browser and re-open your browser.
b) Check your browser version by going to Help>About Internet Explorer. Make sure you see IE version 6 or above. If you have an older IE version, please download IE version 7 from the Microsoft website:
www.microsoft.com/windows/internet-explorer/default.aspx
c) Please check the Student Homepage for any new announcements on technical issues.
