 IS Module Enrolment Appointment

1. How do I know my appointment date/time for the IS Module Enrolment exercise?
You will receive notification of your IS Module Enrolment Appointment day and time on the day of the official release of exam results. You will be notified of this through your:

  • NP email account
  • online exam results
  • sms (only if you have pre-registered and updated your handphone number)

2. Why have I not received my IS Module Enrolment Appointment?
You will not be given IS Module Enrolment Appointments if

  • you are required to undertake Internship (IAP/IHP) for the new semester
  • you have not paid your school fees
  • you have been dismissed
  • your exam results have been withheld
  • you are at sub-level 1.1 or 1.2 or 3.2.
  • you are a student who does not take the IS Modules in your course of study

3. Are we assured of getting our first choice modules if we enrol during our appointed slots?
You may or may not get your first choice of modules during your appointed one and a half hour IS Module Enrolment timeslot since the vacancies are being allocated on a first-come-first-served basis as students add/swap their modules within this one and half hour slot.

4. Will I be disadvantaged if I am given a later enrolment date/time?
No. Places in all the modules are not released all at one go, but released on a graduated basis. At the start of each appointment timeslot, fresh vacancies for all the modules are released. Therefore, students enrolling in later timeslots will not be disadvantaged in comparison with students in earlier timeslots. Vacancies within each one and half hour enrolment appointment timeslot are filled on a first-come-first-served basis.

5. Will I always succeed in having my choice of modules met?
No. The success of your choice is subject to the vacancies available for the semester. Please be assured that all the IS Modules are interesting and will enhance your learning experience at Ngee Ann.

6. I will be overseas during the IS Module Enrolment period, how can I web enrol?
You can web enrol from overseas so long as you have internet access to the NP website, where we recommend that you use an Internet Explorer 6 and above.

If you are on the “Approved Overseas Scheme” going overseas for NP-related activities such as community service, sports events, industrial work attachments, etc, please contact your school’s enrolment Rep to enrol on your behalf.

However, this above arrangement is NOT available if you are overseas for personal reasons/holidays. If you are on a personal overseas trip and fail to web enrol during your given appointment, the IS auto-allocation system will enrol you based on vacancies available, thus you may not get the preferred modules of your choice.
