1. Can I take more IS Modules than required for graduation?
No, you can only take modules that are stipulated for your course.
2. Can I take more IS Modules (i.e. overload) than required in a semester?
You have to first complete an Overload/Underload Form from your school, obtain the endorsement of your School Director and submit this form to IS (Block 53, Level 5) by the deadline in Question 5 below.

4. How do I appeal for a change of modules/timeslots?
If you have valid reasons for appeal, you can obtain the ‘Appeal For Change of IS Modules/Timeslots’ form at School of IS (Block 53, Level 5). Submit this form to School of IS (Block 53, Level 5) before the deadline stated in Question 5 below. We will consider all appeals on a case by case basis. You must submit your application together with documentary evidence (such as doctor’s letter or supporting documents from your secondary school etc).
The following reasons for appeal will NOT be acceptable:
- I'm not interested in or I dislike this module
- I have to wait too long (timetable break) in between classes
- I want a free weekday without classes or I'm working
- I don't want to waste transport expenses/travel time for only one class
Not all appeals will be successful. However, please be assured that all IS Modules are designed to to broaden your outlook and enrich your learning experience.
5. When is the deadline for submission of appeals or overload?
All duly completed appeals must reach the IS Office (Blk 53 Level 5) by 6.00pm, 13 October 2009 (Thursday).
