Every student starts his learning journey like a seed – small but with huge potential. Each seed is nurtured to its full potential during the three years in ICT. We believe in providing a holistic education - achieving a balance between academic and soft skills. This balance allows us to fulfil two central functions of education:
- To educate the individual as a free individual – to understand and use critical thinking to determine the truth for themselves.
- To educate the individual as part of the society – to understand that one lives communally and must therefore contribute to the community
How then is such a balance achieved? In ICT, students are given a suite of opportunities to discover and nurture their individual potential. |
| Leadership Training In the student council, students learn how to lead and communicate in a team while organising activities for the school. We believe that skills such as leadership and teamwork are best cultivated by practising it.
Competition
At both national and international levels, students are given opportunities to compete, test and be recognised for their technical prowess. ICT emerged champion twice amongst the polytechnics at the National InfoComm Competition.
Overseas Programme
To give students the cultural edge, we offer overseas immersion programmes, where students are attached to foreign institutions for a period of around 6 weeks. We believe that such a cultural exchange would not only give them an edge in the working world but also help them become global citizens.

Community Service
C. S. Lewis once said: "Education without values, as useful as it is, seems rather to make man a more clever devil." In ICT, we crafted a special initiative - Realize-IT® to instil the value of giving back to the community in our students. This initiative provides a venue for our students to apply their acquired skills and knowledge to help the community at large.
Academic Progression
With a diploma from ICT in hand, our students have the added advantage when furthering their studies at both local and overseas universities. Many of our graduates have gone on to pursue Bachelors, Masters & PhD programmes, and many have corroborated the all-rounded foundation received in ICT.
Career Prospects
Besides furthering their studies, students can also pursue the career of their dreams in the industry they choose. IT, being pervasive across industries, opens the door of opportunity to different economic sectors. From finance to digital entertainment, our graduates continue their learning journey while expressing their passion through their vocation.
All these opportunities surround each seed, each student and each child who trots the time-tested learning path in the School of ICT.
A quote by philosopher and MIT professor Noam Chomsky aptly describes the journey we are inviting you to.
“Education must provide the opportunities for self-fulfilment; it can at best provide a rich and challenging environment for the individual to explore, in their own way.”
