Specialised Laboratories and Showcase

The School has specialised labs as well as Technology Centre development labs for niche areas.

The eGarage^® houses a state-of-the-art technology infocomm showcase and living development labs open to our staff, students and industry partners. These niche technology centre development labs are equipped with high-end hardware and software for teaching and project developments. 

The RHyMeS Centre @ ICT is our Technology Development Hub housing a symphony of Innovation Projects.
These projects are externally funded by TOTE Board's Social Innovation Fund or MOE's Translational and Innovation Fund. A distinctive characteristics of these projects are industry partners and collaborators, examples of which are, A*Star, Thye Hua Kwan Moral Society, NCS, Dialog-in-the-Dark and Econ Healthcare, just to name a few.

The specialised networking labs for teaching are used for hands-on practical work and development purposes. Each lab is individually configured to expose our students to the latest networking technologies.

The DOT (Multimedia and Animation Centre) supports our newly-revamped latest mutimedia and animation course. It has a state-of-the-art sound recording studio, a drawing room, a blue room, as well as specialised multimedia labs equipped with advanced workstations capable of running resource-intensive multimedia applications.

Students use multimedia software such as 3D Studio Max, Adobe Premiere and the Macromedia product suite to design interactive multimedia applications, create models and animation, and carry out digital video and sound editing.

The school is also a Certiport Test Centre for Microsoft Office Specialist Certification.
