 Industry Collaborations 

Keeping in touch with industry is of utmost importance to us so that our courses continue to be relevant and responsive to industry needs and trends.

We establish and maintain strategic links with industry by:

  • playing a proactive and contributing role through mutually beneficial partnership and collaboration;
  • engaging in industry-based applied research and consultancy projects;
  • providing market-oriented continuing education and customised training;
  • placing students and teaching staff on local and oversea attachments;
  • placing students to work on their final year projects with external organisations.

Strategic Collaborations

  • March 2013 -  ICT is the first education institute to be a Palo Alto Networks Authorized Academy Centre in Asia

            On 7 March 2013, Ngee Ann Polytechnic inked a Memorandum Of Intent (MOI) with Palo Alto Networks
            Inc (PANW) to set up the first education institute to be the PANW Authorized Academy Centre (AAC) to
            train the trainers, co-develop curricula and train diploma students in the next generation network,
            firewalls and information security

  • January 2013 - On 4 January 2013, Ngee Ann Polytechnic's School of InfoComm Technology (ICT) and Palo Alto Networks (PANW) signed a Letter of Intent to collaborate on equipping the next generation of IT professionals with the necessary skills required for next generation network security technologies through the Diploma in IT. The collaboration will bring about greater benefits for the NP-ICT students in terms of further enhanced academic rigor to the curriculum in the area of network and information security as well as industrial experience of PANW and student internship. Students will also be able to take on PANW certifications.

  • March 2012 - Collaboration with Unity Technologies on game design and development area to train students in the area of game art, asset creation, game design, level design to game development as well as to incubate serious game technopreneurs with mentorship from the industry.

              

  • September 2012 - Memorandum of Understanding was signed with Business Analytics Translational Centre (A*Star) to facilitate project development and collaborations in the area of business analytics through activities such as research collaborations and student internships

            

  • December 2012 - Collaboration with IBM (Singapore) to develop an IBM-NP Service Science Management & Engineering Collaboration Program ("SSME Collaboration Program") to plan and conduct certification for our students and alumni, certification training to our staff, and industry attachment for our students at local and overseas IBM offices. This collaboration will benefit our Dip IT - Business Management curriculum through stronger industry collaboration.
