Days that Matter - A HS Enrichment Initiative Dear Teachers, The School of Health Sciences (HS) is starting a new enrichment initiative, "Days that Matter" as part of our outreach efforts. The Days that Matter initiative is based on an open-architecture format. The backbone of this initiative is a public talk/lecture conducted by an social science lecturer on the significance of your chosen United Nations Commemorative/ Observance Day. However, this talk is can be a starting point. This initiative is highly scalable should you or student are willing to run your own projects. Here is what you should do if you are interested: - Contact us via the online registration form. (If the link doesn't work, you can cut and paste the following url into your browser: http://tinyurl.com/HS-Days)
- Select one or multiple commemorative dates that your institution or your students might be interested in.
- Put in your registration and fix a preliminary meeting with one of our speakers.
- At the preliminary meeting, discuss what you would hope to get out of this enrichment exercise. For e.g., will it be a talk/lecture to your students or would you want to do more by having your students run some activities in support of these UN observances.
You can select from the list of UN Observance Days when you click on the online registration form. More information on the various United Nation Observance Days can be found here. Looking forward to meeting you soon. About Enrich@HS The Enrich @ HS is our marquee series of enrichment programmes for secondary school system. The branding of these programmes as Enrich @ HS has dual meanings and intent: - We wish your students can be enriched through their exploration of the exciting world of the health sciences.
- We wish through these activities that we at HS can be enriched by encountering our future students and them with us.
As we finished three calendar year cycle of exciting HS Encounters, another year of potentially invigorating enrichment possibilities beckons. We have re-branded our HS Encounters programme with Enrich@HS. Different names same quality. We hope that your school will look out for and sign up for these planned workshops under this new marque. |
