Frequently Asked Questions:
What about overseas universities? Where do we study overseas?
With reference to the PSC FAQs: Does PSC have a list of recognised universities?
"...PSC does not have such a list as we are not the authority to assess or grant recognition to qualifications obtained from foreign and local institutions. It would be up to the individual organisations that you are seeking to work in, to decide upon the value of your degree. For professional degrees, we also consider whether the qualification from the university is acceptable for registration with the professional bodies in Singapore..."
-----
The Diploma in Health Sciences (Nursing) is already accepted for full registration with the Singapore Nursing Board. Our graduates are Registered Nurses. Hence, the degree is irrelevant in registration. Thus, "...It would be up to the individual organisations that you are seeking to work in, to decide upon the value of your degree..."
There are many Post Registration Bachelor of Nursing Degree courses offered in Australia. Although there are courses that are less than one year in duration, HSN graduates might wish to consider programs with a minimum of one year.
As for non-nursing degrees, the Diploma in Health Sciences (Nursing) allows you to apply for many programs in overseas universities. Please refer to respective university websites for more information.
