Established in 2005, the School of Health Sciences is a new school offering the Diploma in Health Sciences (Nursing) (HSN). This course is a new three-year, diploma level course aimed at preparing students to function competently as registered nurses. Students will assess, manage and prevent problems related to health and illnesses. They will be equipped to apply the knowledge gained in nursing, biological and behavioural sciences to nursing practice.This course, which includes lectures, tutorials and clinical laboratories, is conducted at Ngee Ann Polytechnic. All students will also undergo 48 weeks of clinical attachments with various healthcare establishments throughout the 3-year period.

The course is designed to not only meet the current and future demands of the health care industry in Singapore but also the ambitions of our students to proceed to higher level studies. The Diploma in Health Sciences (Nursing) course is accredited by the Singapore Nursing Board. Graduates of the course will be registered as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Singapore. This qualification is also well recognised overseas.
