Every year, Ngee Ann Poly organises a wide range of fun, challenging and exciting competitions for schools. From our Open House to the F1 in Schools, these flagships have become annual events that many look forward to.

This conference-cum-competition gets students to build a stronger identity for their schools using creative communication methods. They will pick up the principles of advertising, public relations and integrated marketing communications.

Singapore Youth & Media Conference
Students will critically analyse a given theme through forum sessions and over research papers produced by other students. The two-day conference also includes media workshops on sports journalism, video, photography and advertising.  In 2010, the year that Singapore hosts the first Youth Olympic Games, the given theme is “Sports and Media”.

Bull’s Eye Competition
This competition promotes strategy building, teamwork and creativity amongst students. Each team will work together to develop a robot and its remote controller using LEGO NXT® and then, send it on a mission!

In this event, students will combine chemistry, physics and chemical engineering to design and “race” model cars powered by chemical reactions!

Electrifying Connections
This adrenaline-charged competition is designed to spark a student’s interest in electric circuits. Students will learn to design and connect battery-operated circuits to operate lights, alarms and mini-fans.

Marine & Offshore Challenge
Students will be challenged to design and build their own water craft in the MOT Water Grand Prix. They will also get to test their knowledge of ships, rigs and floating vessels as well as race remote control boats!
