Neuro Linguistic Programming What causes you to react so differently from one person to another when faced with the same situation? Why is it that your learning style is so different from someone else's? How do you build rapport and influence someone's behaviour to be like you? Neuro Linguistic Programming, or NLP concepts apply to all of us in our daily lives. This is a 1-day course aimed at helping you understand and explore the various NLP concepts and seeing how we can use them, through experiential learning, to achieve better performance in all aspects of life.
Understanding Juvenile Delinquency National statistics have reported a higher incidence of youth crime in comparison to the population proportion of youths in Singapore. This 3-hour workshop will shed light on why young people choose to practise illegal and socially undesirable behaviours such as theft, bullying and gangsterism, drug consumption and sexual addiction. The theoretical foundations will then be buttressed with practical knowledge on current governmental and non-governmental approaches towards the prevention, intervention and rehabilitation of at-risk youths.
Cyber Wellness: An Offline Approach to an Online Generation The Internet has become an integral part of everyday life for youths from all walks of life. This 2-session workshop (2 hours per session) will study the psyche of youths and examine the correlation behind the cyber behaviour of youths and their day-to-day lives. The first session will be a survey of the main ways through which youths connect to the Internet such as blogging and online portals, while the second session will study salient cyber issues such as Internet addiction and pornography. Teachers will be equipped during both sessions with ways on how best to help students who face cyber issues. They will also be provided with handles on how to promote Internet safety among their students. |
