Synopsis: 36-year-old Khairu Rejal spends a lot of time educating youths-at-risk to return to the right path. He is the founder and director of Majulah Community, a local non-governmental organization (NGO) established in 2010 to carry out youth and community programs. "I used to be friends with the boys in the streets when I was child, and some of them ended up in jail. So, I've seen the real social problems of society with my own eyes," he said.

Back in the days as a student, Mr. Khairu had dropped out in the first year of study in mechatronics at Ngee Ann Polytechnic before finally bouncing back to attain a Diploma in Electrical Engineering. He is now working as a manager in Majuven Pte Ltd, a local investment company. "Youths must have the courage to say they are able to turn things around them, and they must believe that they too, can change the world. Personally, I also hope to shape the society for the future, '' he said. He is one of the panelists of Goh Chok Tong Youth Promise Award.
