Meet our Tay Eng Soon gold medallist who gave herself a second chance via the ITE route Unable to get into the courses she wanted in JC and poly, Diana was in despair after getting her ‘O’ Level results several years ago. With nowhere to go, she became a waitress at a café in Punggol. It was there that some regulars helped her to see the light. Surprised that she was no longer studying at such a young age, they kept advising her to get back to school. Having met a colleague who had studied in ITE and read positive reports of ITE students, Diana decided to give herself a second chance via this route. When she got into Ngee Ann’s Accountancy course, Diana was over the moon. Under the guidance of the lecturers, she blossomed and even won a scholarship for the first time in her life. Today, she is the Tay Eng Soon gold medallist, thanks to the strangers who had helped to turn her life around.
