- CHS students invite NP janitor to give talk on calligraphy
Tan Kuo Ye is a janitor working in NP and started calligraphy back when he was 28 year old. He was invited by an NP Chinese Studies lecturer to give a talk to Chinese Studies students on calligraphy recently.

HMS co-organises public seminar on translation and writing
Together with Confucius Institute (NTU), HMS co-organised the Public Seminar on Translation and Writing by renowned scholar and writer, Professor Yu Guangzhong, on 5 September 2009 at the Convention Centre.
CHS students showcase photography skills in photo exhibition
Following the success of the previous two exhibitions, the 3rd CHS Photo Exhibition was held in August 2009 at the Lien Ying Chow Library Mural Area.
