Signs of good things to come - the dragon rises with prosperity in NP

On 16 January 2012, the Huayuan Club held a traditional Chinese handbrushed calligraphy writing session at Makan Place. Students and staff of NP were invited to write various Chinese characters such as  "Fu" (福) [prosperity] and "Long" (龙) [dragon]. The session was well received by all, especially for first-time calligraphers who were not familiar with the Chinese characters. Many tried, with tentative hands and brushstrokes, to copy the auspicious characters, and most left pleasantly surprised at their ability to master this beautiful artform.

The event ended with great success, having drawn more than a hundred students and staff over a duration of only 3 hours.

From all of us at HMS - May the Year of the Dragon bring love, happiness, prosperity and success to all!
