| The Young Social Entrepreneurs (YSE) programme aims to inspire and equip youths to embark on social enterprises. The programme includes a three-day workshop, followed by dialogues and networking sessions throughout the year. Overseas study visits to leading social enterprises in the region are also available to YSE alumni. YSE programme 2012 begins with a workshop from 29 February to 2 March 2012. It will be launched in conjunction with SIF’s Ideas for a Better World Forum which brings together global thought leaders to share their insights with social, policy, economic and student leaders and inspire actions to effect positive change.

The YSE workshop includes business clinics where representatives from leading consultancy firms and business leaders coach and mentor you to develop your business ideas and models. | |  25 youths from Indonesia, Vietnam and SIngapore participated in the inaugural YSE workshop in 2010. Ambassador Ong Keng Yong attended the launch of the programme. Ms Elim Chew, founder of 77th Street and Mr Kevin Teo, then Co-Founder of Volans judged at the YSE business presentation. | Outstanding workshop participants can vie for a six-month mentorship programme which includes an overseas experiential study visit to India or Thailand.
