Why is this course offered in the School of Humanities (HMS) and not in the School of Business and Accountancy (BA)? |

The main reason is that of focus. The focus of the diploma in Business and Social Enterprise is on addressing social and environmental needs through enterprises and businesses models. The mission of the social enterprise is to solve social and environmental problems in a sustainable way.
The learning model in the School of Humanities has a balance of experiential and community-based approaches, as well as well-grounded theoretical emphasis. The business-related modules will be delivered by qualified lecturers from the Business discipline. Hence, the student can leverage on the expertise and resources of the school to develop his or her talent in business and social enterprise. |

How is this diploma different from the business diploma from BA? |

In addition to learning the essentials of managing a business, the BZSE diploma will provide students with grounding on subjects in Humanities and Social Sciences, as well as the values and mechanisms of social enterprises. |

Can I do a business degree when I finish this diploma? |

Yes. The BZSE diploma provides students with the fundamental academic training of a business degree. |

Will I lose out to the BA students if I apply to do business degrees at universities? |
|
No. As a matter of fact, the universities might consider the BZSE graduates at an advantage as they are more holistic in their approach to solving business problems.
You will also be in a clearer position to decide whether you want to pursue further studies in Business or the Humanities and Social Sciences. |

I am interested in both PCS and BZSE, which course do I take? |
|
Consider where your interest lies. Are you more interested in direct Psychological/social service/community services or are you more interested in alleviating social and environmental problems through applying business concepts and using the discipline and innovation that is inherent in entrepreneurs? |

I am interested to do my final year attachment overseas. Will I have a choice? |
|
There is a high chance that you will do your placement overseas as we have collaboration with international organizations like Schwab Foundation, Habitat International and World Vision. However whether you are placed locally or overseas depends on your area of interest and the availability of industrial partners. Alternatively, you can do choose to do your placement with local Social Enterprises. |
