 B. Admissions 

 1.   Can I combine results to apply? If so, must the results be from consecutive years?
    Yes, you may combine the results of two sittings only to apply for admission and the results need not be from two consecutive years.
     
 2.   I am a graduate of ITE. Am I eligible to apply for the CPEE Course?
    You can apply for admission into the CPEE course if you are an ITE Higher Nitec in ECE graduate with a GPA of 3 points and above, and a minimum entry requirement of a C6* in EL1. You can apply under Direct Admissions Exercise (DAE). 
     
    *As stipulated by the Pre-school Qualifications Accreditation Committee (PQAC), with effect from January 2009, all new childcare and kindergarten teachers must have at least 5 GCE 'O' level passes, including a minimum grade of B4 in English as a First Language (EL1) or a minimum band score of 6.5 in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS – General Training), and a Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education - Teaching. Therefore, all applicants with a C5 or C6 in EL1 are given two years from the point of teacher registration to obtain either a B4 or a minimum band of 6.5 in the International Language Testing System (IELTS).
     
3.   I am a former/ current polytechnic student. How do I apply for the course in Diploma in Child Psychology & Early Education in Ngee Ann Polytechnic?
  Former/ current poly students are to apply under Direct Admissions Exercise (DAE). All applicants must meet DAE entry requirements.
   
4. Can I apply for the CPEE course if I do not have a credit for Mathematics? 
  If you have a minimum of 5 GCE ‘O’ level passes excluding CCA, including a minimum grade of C6 in English but a D7 in Mathematics, you may apply for the course directly to Ngee Ann Polytechnic through the Direct Admissions Exercise (DAE).
