Humans are complex beings, and understanding their psyche can be extremely intriguing. If that's what's on your mind, then the Diploma in Psychology Studies (PCS) is probably the right course for you!

PCS provides you with a strong foundation in the study of psychology. You will learn the different aspects of psychology, including lifespan, social, abnormal, organisational and health psychology, personality differences, and gain an understanding of the human brain and behaviour. This foundation will give you a head-start in pursuing further studies in this intriguing field. 

Equipping students with highly practical and relevant skills is a key strength of PCS. You will gain professional skills such as conducting research, facilitating group sessions, planning and implementing programmes, and understanding psychometric assessment tools used in clinical and counsellling settings.

To further hone your skills, you will work on research projects with industry partners right from your first year and go on an overseas service learning trip in your second year.

In your final year, you can intern at government agencies such as Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports and Police Psychological Services Division; hospitals, such as the Singapore General Hospital, and Institute of mental Health; and Voluntary Welfare Organisations, such as Asian Women's Welfare Association, and Family Service Centres. 

Alternatively, you can choose to do a final-year research project.
