School of Humanities (HMS) was set up, bringing  together the Diploma in Early Childhood Education  (established in 1999) and the Diploma in Chinese Studies  (established in 2005).

 June 2006

HMS Graduation 2006. 131 ECH students (5th batch) graduated.

 March 2007

1st batch of CHS students embarked on one-semestral China Immersion Programme at ZUCC.

August 2007

1st batch of CHS students embarked on NIE one-semestral studies.

 April 2007 

Launch of Diploma in Psychology & Community Services (PCS). Over 700 first-choice applicants applying   for 40 places.

May 2007 

Launch of Advanced Diploma in Early Childhood Intervention (Special Needs) (Part-time course).

June 2007 

HMS Graduation 2007. 161 ECH students graduated (6th batch of ECH).

March 2008

April 2008  

Launch of Diploma in Business & Social Enterprise (BZSE). Over 300 first-choice aplicants applying  for 40 places.

May 2008 

• HMS Graduation 2008. 1st batch of 75 CHS students & 7th batch of 181 ECH students graduated.
• BZSE's First Batch of Year One Students Awarded Citibank - YMCA Youth for Causes 2008 Seed Funding.

Wheelock Summer Immersion Programme. 1st cohort of 59 students attended this programme.

July 2008

• Visit by Minister of National Education & Scientific Research of Madagascar, HE Ralambomanana Strangeline & team.
• ECH Alumni celebrated their 1st ECH Homecoming at NP.

August 2008

• Launch of CYA (Compassionate Youth in Action). CYA is a student body set up to serve as a platform for students to transform their compassion into action through various types of community and service-learning projects.
• Students who have been trained in basic magic skills performed at the National Council of Social Services Mega Carnival.

October 2008

Launch of new Part Time Course, Diploma in Early Childhood Care & Education - Teaching (DECCE-T)

September 2008

23 students from PCS & BZSE courses participated a Youth Expedition Project in Yunnan, China.

December 2008

Pioneer batch of BZSE students embarked on an overseas study trip to Gawad Kalinga, Bacolod Baseco, Phillipines.

March 2009

April 2009  

• Launch of new two Full Time Courses, Diploma in Child Psychology & Early Education and Diploma in Chinese Media Communication.
• HMS Magic Club was set up. The club aims to equip students with magic performance skills to initiate more service-learning community projects.

May 2009

• HMS Graduation 2009. 2nd batch of 75 CHS students & 8th batch of 177 ECH students graduated.
• 19 PCS students participated in an educational study trip to Cambodia.

June 2009

• Wheelock College-Singapore Graduation Ceremony 2009. 59 students graduated from Wheelock College, Ngee Ann Polytechnic's first Foreign Specialised Institution (FSI).

• Gawad Kalinga (GK) Global Summit 2009. 2 BZSE second-year students presented their proposal to set up the GK Youth Academy (GK-Ya) in Singapore at the summit held in Boston.
