Information for Graduates - Graduation Day

Registration & Formation of Graduate Procession

(a) Report punctually in your graduation attire to your assigned venue.

(b) You will be issued a pre-coded card with your personal details printed on it. Please check that the information is correct. Should there be an error, report immediately to the staff in attendance.

(c) Slot the pre-coded card into its plastic holder and keep it in the pocket of your graduation attire. You will need to hand it over for scanning before you go on-stage.

(d) Sit according to your assigned seat number. Any change will upset the order of procession.

(e) The Graduate Procession will promptly proceed to the auditorium 20 minutes after the reporting time. Latecomers will not be allowed to join the Graduate Procession.



Presentation of Diplomas

(a) You will be ushered to the scanning station where you will hand over your pre-coded card to the staff for scanning before entering the auditorium.

(b) Take back your pre-coded card after scanning and stay in that queue order as any change will upset the presentation order.

(c) Drop the pre-coded card in the box provided as you go on-stage.


(d) Proceed to Position X (marked on stage) and wait for your name to be read.

(e) When your name is read, proceed to Position Y (marked on stage) to receive a graduation folder from your Director. Remember to shake hands and tilt your head slightly towards the audience. An official photographer has been engaged to take photographs.

*Photographs taken at the event may be used on NP's website, marketing materials and in the press. By participating in this event, you consent to NP photographing and using your image and likeness.

*To accord proper decorum to the Graduation Ceremony, please refrain from taking any selfies or wefies throughout the Graduation Proceedings.

(f) As you leave the stage, you will be given a photo order voucher which provides you with instructions on how you can order your graduation photos from the official photographer.

(g) You will then be ushered to collect your diploma certificate and academic transcript at Level 2. Follow the ushers' instructions closely and proceed in the same order which you went on-stage as any change will upset the order of collection.

(h) After collection, please check that your details e.g. name, course etc. are printed correctly. Should there be any printing error, report to the staff at the collection area (NPCC, Level 2) immediately.

(i) Return to your seat.


If you are a Medallist

(b) When your name is announced , proceed to Position X (marked on stage) and bow.

(c) A short citation about you will be read.

(d) After the citations for all medallists have been read, the Guest of Honour will be invited to present the awards.

(e) When your name is announced, proceed to Position Y (marked on stage) to receive your diploma certificate, academic transcript & award certificate(s) from the Guest of Honour. Remember to shake hands and tilt your head slightly towards the audience. An official photographer has been engaged to take photographs.

(h) Please check your documents to ensure that your details e.g. name, course etc. are printed correctly. Any printing error must be reported immediately to the staff at the collection area (NPCC, Level 2) immediately.


 

Official Photographers  

Official photographers will be present to take photos of every graduand at the graduation ceremony. Each graduand will have 2 shots taken, one in full lenghth and another in close up frontal shot.


A photo order voucher will be handed to all graduands as they proceed to the diploma collection area after receiving their graduation folder on-stage. Graduands should follow the instuctions given to place orders for their photos from the official photographer after the graduation ceremony. Graduands who have placed their orders will receive the photos via post 4 weeks after the graduation ceremony.
