Urban Wire

Founded in 2002, UrbanWire is the popular online entertainment/lifestyle e-zine produced by final-year online journalism students of the School of Film & Media Studies, Ngee Ann Polytechnic. UrbanWire, which at its peak attracted 3.6 million hits within a month, is the only local student media vehicle consistently invited to cover high-profile entertainment events such as the MTV Asia Awards, MediaCorp launches and award ceremonies and movie previews.

sg New Wave is an online film magazine reviewing old and current movies. It also offers in-depth analysis on directors, movies and film-related subjects. sg New Wave is the brainchild of a group of film enthusiasts from NP’s School of Film & Media Studies, hoping to revolutionise the way Singaporeans view films and to eventually create a culture of avid film-goers. sg New Wave, our movement in film!
