A-Muse! - "Animation - Media Users Shared Experience!" ( 2-hour workshop for students ) This workshop introduces students to basic 3-D character design using Softimage XSI, and heightens their awareness of 3-D digital art. It will highlight the indispensable roles that 3-D digital art and
special effects play in media such as film and video.
Group size: 20 maximum.
The Radio Experience (3-hour workshop for students )
Get a glimpse of the radio world and behind-the-scenes work by making a date with us to learn the tricks to rule the airwaves!
You’ll find it's simple to cruise through the history of radio in Singapore , try out simple basic radio production with editing techniques and get your voice heard on-air through our only campus radio station, Radio Heatwave!
Life may not be the same again after your radio experience!!

Editors, designers and advertising/promotions specialists from Singapore's only professional editorial consultancy run by students,
together with their lecturer, will share about the excitement, challenges and rewards of reaching hundreds of thousands of people each month, through professional publications, while still being students.

‘Toon (2-hour workshop for students )
This caricature/cartooning workshop offers basic character design and illustration 'tips and tricks' to encourage young budding artists in their creative pursuits. Students with an interest in exploring comic artwork will be taught
construction lines and rough sketches, gesture drawing, as well as character types.
Group size: 20 maximum.
Basic Video Production (premium 2-day workshop for students)
Acquire the basic art and techniques of video-making through both theory and hands-on practice in planning, shooting and editing a video production.
Press On (premium 2-day workshop for students)
For students who already have had quite a bit of experience producing school publications, these hands-on workshops will help to refine the skills that go into producing a polished print or online publication.
The journalism lecturer, student editors, designers and photo editor will work alongside student participants in groups of five to produce a two-page tabloid-size newspaper from scratch. Critiques can also be given for existing publications.
Group size: 15 maximum.
Scriptwriting for Radio (premium 2 half-day workshop for students)
Write a script for radio, learn the process of content gathering, use of words and script formats for news, info-capsules and commercial presentations.
Storytelling For The Screen (premium 2 half-day workshop for students)
Be introduced to the craft of creating stories for the screen. Participants will develop their own, unique ideas using the techniques
of storytelling and produce meaningful stories that reflect their own lives and imagination.
Studio Tours (1 to 2 hours)
Ask for a tour of Ngee Ann’s School of Film & Media Studies and see how our students train to be media professionals, filmmakers, audio and digital effects specialists through a range of state-of-the-art production and post-production facilities - radio presentation studios, digital television studios, digital post-production suites, multi-track audio recording studios, newsroom, the sound stage and computer animation labs.

These workshops will be conducted upon requests by schools only, and subject to availability of students and staff.
Classes can be customised based on students' needs. The minimum number of participants for a class is 15.
A fee to cover operating expenses may be charged for some programmes.
