Sypnosis: NP's Business Information Technology students, Ng Boon Thai and Illias Mohmmad Iqbal, jointly created the iPhone app "Where Ma Lecturer" and "CCA portal" to enable students to reach their lecturers by phone or email with just a click and to access CCA information via iPhone.

Sypnosis: Similiar to the Channel NewsAsia Report. In addition, the report mentioned another application that has been developed by the students. The application, "Where Ma Lecturer", allows students to find the lecturer's phone numbers and emails and even allows them to contact the lecturers by clicking on their names.

Title: Budding entrepreneurs at NP

Synopsis: Two Business Studies students from NP
will soon start their cafe business in campus in the next semester, with
some seed money funded by the Ngee Ann Kongsi's donations and their own
funds.
Samantha Quek and Ernest Tan, who are both in their final
year, were among who have benefitted from NP's EnterpriZe! Scheme which
awards seed money of up to $3,000 per project to promote student
entrepreneurship. So far, 48 ventures have been granted funding under
this scheme.
NP received $8.2 million from Ngee Ann Kongsi this
year. The contributions are also used to fund various student
development programmes. |
