McDonald's - SYA Youth Inspirational Series Open!
Heartware Network is pleased to announce that the McDonald’s-SYA Youth Inspirational Series is back this year! Entrepreneurs-Connect would like invite all Ngee Ann students to participate in this programme.
This Inspirational Series aims to inculcate a sense of self-reflection and instill the values of entrepreneurship in our young generation, not only in their lives presently, but also of how, in future, they may be able to contribute to the community. This is also an opportunity for self-discovery for them to realize that they can achieve their dreams and aspirations through diligence and resolve. These talks are held in partnership with the McDonald’s Restaurants and the National Youth Council (NYC). Through a casual setting, the Singapore Youth Award (SYA) speakers are invited to inspire and motivate these youths with their life stories, as well as share their hopes and dreams. Thereafter the youths are invited to generate ideas and submit proposals for an entrepreneurial project on various themes. Viable proposals have the opportunity to potentially obtain seed funding from the NYC’s Youth ChangeMakers Programme.
The guest speakers for the upcoming series are Mr Leonard Tan (Founder of PurpleClick Media Te Ltd) and Mr Ho Tsu Nyen (Acclaimed visual artist and film maker).
Each session is free and there are ONLY 100 places per session (based on first come first served basis)

Celebrating 50th ACE BlueSky Exchange Open!
Since 2003, the BlueSky Exchange has been a platform for entrepreneurs to share experiences and to connect with like-minded entrepreneurs. In July, the Action Community for Entrepreneurship (ACE) will be celebrating our 50th BlueSky Exchange with a networking dinner among entrepreneurs and industry practitioners who have contributed to make Singapore one of the best places to start a business.
The 50th BlueSky Exchange also marks a special occasion as ACE remembers the inaugural launch of the first BlueSky Exchange at Qian Hu Corp Ltd. At the same time, we will welcome Mr Teo Ser Luck, Minister of State for Trade and Industry as the new Chairman of ACE.

Shell LiveWIRE Awards 2011 Open!
Jointly organised by Shell Companies in Singapore, the Institute of Technical Education, ITE Alumni Association and Singapore Press Holdings (Chinese Newspapers Division), the Shell LiveWIRE Awards offers applicants valuable training workshops in business management.
With the rise of youth entrepreneurship education in recent years, more people are taking up the entrepreneurial challenge at an even younger age. The ideas.inc. Business Challenge is open to everyone below the age of 26. This competition provides a whole series of support and guidance to help the budding entreperenuers crystallise their ideas, sharpen their skills and transfer their plans into reality.
