This programme is a partnership between Ngee Ann Polytechnic and the Association of Small & Medium Enterprises (ASME) with support from SPRING Singapore aimed at promoting and supporting innovation and entrepreneurship among our budding young entrepreneurs. Under the ASME's
VIP@NP
, budding young entrepreneurs from NP (students as well as alumni of less than 5 years old) will enjoy the support of practical advice, networking channels and the vital sustenance of encouragement from ASME mentors on a one-to-one basis.
Therefore, students with good ideas within NP discipline schools under the advice of their academic coach may surface their ideas to
Entrepreneurs-Connect@NP
. An NP Panel will assess the ideas for potential. Upon the recommendation of the Panel, ASME will be activated to assign a relevant Business Mentor. The Student Team with their Academic Coach works directly with the ASME Mentor to establish their roadmap of goals and schedule of mentoring activities to test and develop their ideas to a stage that can be exploited for the marketplace and/or to achieve a sound business plan that is ultimately worthy of consideration for investment or funding.
ASME may also initiate the process with a business idea from an entrepreneur/enterprise for our students to consider.
In addition to providing a pool of Business Mentors, ASME also avails their SME First Stop facilities, HDB work-spaces and a platform in their Networking and Brainstorming sessions for ideas to be showcased.
