  • Participate in a design challenge and project showcase

  • Be armed with a professional design portfolio upon graduation

With millions of products out there all fighting for the consumer’s attention, you have to ask yourself: what separates the dull from the wow?

Designing a commercially successful product is a fascinating art. More than just a good idea, a winning product is a strategy of style, function and marketability. If you want to dream up the next coveted must-have, start with Ngee Ann’s Diploma in Product Design & Innovation (PDI).

PDI equips you with the skills to create innovative products that look good, work smart and sell well. Invent a fresh product to meet a longstanding need. Redesign an old object and make it new. The possibilities are endless.

At PDI, you will discover the designer in you as you are exposed to many exciting design cultures and experiences, both locally and overseas. You will go on field trips to design centres and museums, and have frequent exchanges with famed designers. You will get to explore design processes at every stage, from idea conceptualisation to realisation with quality design folios and working prototypes.

Best of all, you’ll graduate with top-notch design skills and business smarts - the perfect recipe for success.

Truly exciting job prospects are in store for PDI graduates.

Singapore is home to the regional headquarters of many high-technology product design and manufacturing plants. Companies such as BMW and Philips Electronics have also set up design, R&D and innovation centres here.

In addition to product and industrial design, you will be able to explore creative professions in furniture design, packaging design and product merchandising.

After a few years of experience, you could even start up your very own design consultancy!

As a PDI graduate, you can pursue related degree courses at both local and overseas universities. You may enjoy advanced standing from many universities, including:
