The EWT industry technological needs are both diverse and complex.  Backed by some 400 engineers and experts in the schools like School of Engineering and School of  Life Science & Chemical Technology, as well as their vast projects and consultancy experiences, the Environmental & Water Technology Centre of Innovation has a good head-start to provide applied technology support to enterprises. 

To further boost our capacity and technological capabilities in meeting the applied R&D challenges of the EWT industry, the Centre has set up a dedicated team of full-time Application Engineers with multi-disciplinary expertise in Environmental Science & Engineering, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Chemical & Material Engineering, Energy Efficiency & Management and Mechanical Engineering.  In the area of Solar Technology and Bioenergy, the Centre draws upon the expertise and facilities in its Solar Technology Centre and the School of Life Science & Chemical Technology to offer the breadth and depth of expertise required for applied R&D and project development in the EWT industry.
