DIPLOMA IN TECHNOLOGY

Our Diploma in Technology programme has been accredited by several local and overseas Universities. A number of the graduates of the Diploma courses had been accepted and admitted into various degree programmes.

National University of Singapore (NUS)

The Diploma in Technology is accredited by the School of Computing, NUS. Dip Tech graduates are qualified to apply for admission to the Computing and Computer Engineering Full-time Degree courses. They may be granted advanced placement credits.

Dip Tech graduates have also successfully gained admissions to the Bachelor of Technology (BTech) programme at NUS. The graduates are eligible for non-Engineering courses as well.

Nanyang Technological University (NTU)

Dip Tech graduates who majored in Electronics, Electrical or Mechatronics, qualify to apply for the following Programmes:

1. Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical & Electronic Engineering) (Full-time)
2. * Information Engineering & Media / School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering.
3. * Engineering & Economics / College of Engineering.

* New programmes offered from Academic Year 2008/09

Graduates of the Diploma in Water Technology are granted admission to the Bachelor of Engineering (Environmental Engineering) course.

Dip Tech graduates from any majors are also eligible for non-Engineering courses offered by NTU.

SIM University (UniSIM), Singapore

Dip Tech graduates are eligible to apply for the programmes offered by UniSIM. Bridging courses are also available to provide the necessary academic foundation to enable a smooth phasing into the programme structure for the applicant.

University of Adelaide , Australia 

The University of Adelaide welcomes Ngee Ann Polytechnic diploma graduates who have achieved good results in their studies into selected Bachelor degree programmes.

Dip Tech graduates with a B grade or better may be accepted into Bachelor of Engineering programmes. Applicants may be granted up to 3 semesters of advanced standing, depending on the programme selected.

Curtin University of Technology, Australia

Dip Tech (Logistics) graduates have been given pre-requisite approval into the University’s Bachelor of Commerce (Logistics/International Supply Chain Management) programme.

Applicants may be given advanced standings.

Heriot-Watt University, UK

The University welcomes Dip Tech graduates to enrol into their relevant BEng/MEng degree programmes which are accredited by the
Engineering Council UK and the Singapore Professional Engineer Board.

University of Leeds, UK

The University welcomes applications from good Diploma graduates to enter directly
into the second year of their BEng/MEng in the following programmes:

• Electronic & Communications Engineering
• Electronic & Electrical Engineering
• Electronic Engineering
• Mechatronics Engineering

For Advanced Standing in these programmes, applicants should possess:

• relevant topics in their Diploma studies
• good grades (usually at least B grade) and
• suitable English language qualifications

University of Nottingham, UK

The University would consider applicants who are Dip Tech (Electronics or Mechatronics) holderswith an overall average Grade B in their course of study & a minimum of Grade B in each of Mathematics A, Mathematics B and Principles of Control (Electronics) or Instrumentation Control (Mechatronics).

Dip Tech (Electrical) graduates would also be considered if they are doing the Computer Programming option; in this case the conditions of the offer would be the same as of the Electronics major .

ADVANCED DIPLOMA IN INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS

Graduates from the Advanced Diploma in International Business are able to seek entry, exemptions and credits to the following Universities.

University of Western Australia

Direct entry to Master of Business Administration and accreditation for 4 modules: Accounting, Marketing Principles, International Management and International Marketing. Student needs to have a degree, 2 years of relevant work experience, and average grades of C+ in the ADIB.

Graduates of ADIB can also gain entry to the Graduate Certificate in Business Admin and exempted for 2 modules (Accounting and Marketing Principles) if they have 7 years of relevant work experience and average grades of C+ in ADIB 

Flinders University, Adelaide, Australia

Exemptions from 2 modules in the Master of Health Science Management


Institute of Technology Australia

Credits for 6 subject units for the Master of International Business or Master of Business Administration. Students still need to meet IOTA's entry requirements including but not limited to minimum English language proficiency standards.

SPECIALIST DIPLOMA IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

Graduates from the Specialist Diploma in Early Childhood Education are able to seek entry and advanced standings to the following Universities.

Monash University, Australia

Graduates of SDECD would be eligible for advanced standing entry into the Bachelor of Early Childhood Education. Students would receive a minimum of eight units and up to 12 units of advanced standing. For more details, log on to www.monash.edu.au
