WDA appoints NP as the CET Centre for the Retail Industry.
NP will offer courses for all the 3 qualifications as follows:
§ Certificate in Retail Operations
§ Advanced Certificate in Retail Supervision
§ Diploma in Retail Management
2008, October
CPD rebranded to CET Academy. Launched by the Acting Minister for Manpower Mr Gan Kim Yong on 21 October 2008, the new CET Academy will take over the operations of the CPD, spearhead NP's effort in offering adult education and training, and championing lifelong learning.
2008, February
The number of applications for the Diploma in Technology course crossed the 1000th mark for the first time. As at 28 February 2008, a total of 1032 applications were received.
2007, December
WDA appoints NP as the Programme Manager for the WSH Professionals WSQ framework.
The Workforce Development Agency (WDA) has appointed NP as the programme manager for the WSH Professionals WSQ framework. Under the framework, NP will offer courses for all the 4 qualifications as follows:
• Graduate Certificate in WSH
• Specialist Diploma in WSH
• Advanced Certificate in WSH
• Certificate in WSH
2007, April
The Diploma in Water Technology course is given accreditation by NTU. Diploma in Water Technology has been included in the acceptable list of polytechnic diplomas for NTU degree courses. Diploma in Water Technology graduates are accepted for the environmental engineering course with selective exemptions.
2006, June
The Diploma in Technology (Electrical, Electronics & Mechatronics) courses are given accreditation by NTU. Diploma in Technology (Electrical, Electronics & Mechatronics) has been included in the acceptable list of polytechnic diplomas for NTU degree courses. These 3 majors are accepted for the electrical & electronics engineering course with selective exemptions.
2006, January
Graduation of our pioneer batch of Diploma in Technology students. The graduation ceremony was held on 7 Jan 06 for the pioneer batch of students from the Diploma in Technology and Diploma in Water Technology programmes.
2005, November
The Diploma in Technology course is given accreditation by NUS. NUS confirmed that selected students with the Diploma in Technology could apply for their part-time Bachelor of Technology course.

Official opening of CPD’s new premises at the learning hub.
3 letters of agreement (LOA) were signed with the following parties:
• Premas International Ltd for the Certificate and Specialist Diploma in Facility Management
• Marina Mandarin Singapore and Hotel Plaza Ltd for the Diploma in Hospitality Management
• Social Service Training Institute and SSA Management Consultants Pte Ltd for the Certificate in Management for Non-Profit Organisations

NP signed a Letter of Agreement (LOA) with Franchising & Licensing Association of Singapore (FLA) to jointly offer a new Specialist Diploma in Franchise Management at the Opening Ceremony of the Global Franchising & Licensing 2004 exhibition held at the Suntec City.

Launch of the Advanced Diploma in International Business in partnership with International Trade Institute of Singapore (ITIS). ITIS and NP signed a letter of agreement (LOA) for the joint offering of the Advanced Diploma in International Business.
