Ursula Tang (bottom left hand corner of photo), a final year Accountancy student participated in the week-long
14th International Youth Leadership Conference (IYLC) held from 22 to 27 July 2007 in
Prague,
Czech Republic, where she represented the School of Business & Accountancy and was the
sole country representative from Singapore. The conference was organized by Civic Concepts International, together with the government of the Czech Republic, to facilitate a cross-cultural exchange of ideas concerning the future world of leadership. Participants were aged between 18 and 25.
The 97 youths from 50 countries were engaged in simulations of a United Nations Security Council Crisis Meeting, an International Criminal Court Proceeding, and a Model European Union Parliament session. Visits were made to Radio Free Europe and to various ministries and embassies in Prague.
