The prestigious Gold Medals are awarded to students with the most outstanding performances in their respective BA Diplomas Courses. Alvin Lim has been awarded the Lien Ying Chow Gold Medal for being the most outstanding graduate from a non-technology course in Ngee Ann Polytechnic. 52 excited students participated in the School of Business and Accountancy's $mart Money Management workshop on 23 May 2007. Marketing specialisation students got to know their classmates better in a fun, exciting but "sweaty" way on Wednesday, 30 May 2007. Possibly the biggest accounting competition ever held in Singapore took place on 22 May 2007 when close to 900 persons converged at the Ngee Ann Polytechnic Convention Centre for the 4th National Accounting Quiz. About 40 students from Bedok South Secondary School spent an afternoon on 28 May 2007 at the School of Business Studies & Accountancy (BA). 100-odd Human Resource Management(HRM) students from the Diploma in Business Studies had a fun HRM Bonding Day in the School’s huge Level 2 hall on 8 May 2007, inclusive of a catered Hi-Tea. On 23 May 2007, throngs of secondary school students visited Ngee Ann Polytechnic and the School of Business & Accountancy 3rd of March saw the launch of I-Plus, a collaboration between the investment clubs of the 5 polytechnics and Nanyang Technological University-Investment Interactive Club (NTU-IIC). SPIN (Special Interest Group) @ BA_Zest brought students and lecturers together for a fun cycling and roller-blading trip at East Coast Park on 26 February. Twenty students from Yusof Ishak Secondary School had a first hand experience of managing their own small businesses. The Business and Accountancy Orientation Convention (bAoc) was organised for freshmen to get acquainted with the school, the lecturers and the students. The Open House was held from 18 to 20 January 2007 in Ngee Ann Polytechnic campus. Thirty four students and three lecturers embarked on a study mission to the Pearl River Delta region from 12 March to 23 March 2007. One hundred and fifty six BA students were involved in the recent
ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF). On 18th January 2007, more than 300 secondary school students trouped back to Ngee Ann Polytechnic. Yuhua CC’s Senior Citizen Group was having their 20th anniversary celebrations on the 6th of January 2007. The 2,000th visitor to the School of Business & Accountancy arrived in the afternoon on 19th January, 2007. Four lucky BA students, Boon Huat, Rini Susanti Tanny, Regina Loo and Pauline Chee were given a dream overseas posting in September 2006 for their overseas industrial attachment.
