Want to experience the diverse nature of tourism? Then arm yourself with our Diploma in Tourism & Resort Management (TRM).

In particular, you will learn more about managing mega events and the business aspects of these three sectors: hospitality, travel and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions & Exhibitions).

Valuable hands-on learning sessions and internships will round off your industry knowledge and offer you even wider career choices upon graduation!

Not Your Typical Classroom
Luxury cruise liners, theme parks and five-star resorts – these are just some of the “classrooms” our students get to learn in. And we’re not just talking about Singapore; you can count global tourism hotspots like Las Vegas, Hong Kong and Australia’s Gold Coast amongst your learning destinations.

Xtraordinary Curriculum
As a TRM student, you will get acquainted with the finer points of wining and dining, arts, culture, golf, and personal grooming with lifestyle appreciation workshops. This will give you a deeper understanding and appreciation of the tourism industry. TRM will also provide you with a strong business foundation that features a global and entrepreneurial focus.

CAREER PROSPECTS

TRM graduates can find many job openings in the MICE, hospitality, travel, food and beverage, and other tourism-related sectors.

You could be involved in a wide variety of management positions in sales and marketing, operations, facility planning and development, promotions, public relations, consultancy and customer service.

FURTHER STUDIES

As a TRM graduate, you’ll be able to pursue a two-year degree in Hotel Administration offered by the Singapore Institute of Technology in collaboration with the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. This programme is heavily subsidised and conducted right here in Singapore.

You will also be able to pursue a wide range of degree courses at all local universities and several overseas universities which may grant at least one year’s exemption.

They include Southern Cross University (Australia), the University of Nevada (US), the University of Queensland (Australia), and the University of Southern Queensland (Australia).
