About the Diploma

If you have your mind set on an international business course, it’s got to be the one at Ngee Ann’s School of Business & Accountancy. Why? We literally take you international with our Diploma in International Business (IBZ), and a curriculum that packs a punch.

Live, work & learn abroad

You just can’t learn international business without going international. So, we let you live, work and learn in a foreign country for up to six months! You will gain first-hand international experiences, cross cultural perspectives, management skills for an international landscape, and opportunities to pick up foreign languages.

Yearly overseas exposure

Overseas learning is so much a part of IBZ that you have the unique opportunity to get to travel not just once, but every year!  Whether it’s for an international business project, an immersion programme or a study trip, you will get invaluable exposure through the gamut of overseas trips. You also get the chance to source for products globally and identify overseas market opportunities.

International Business Explorer Series

Under this programme, students have the opportunity to propose the destination for their learning trip and set their own agenda. The customised trip will cater to varied learning interests and outcomes.

Shanghai Overseas Centre

Not many schools can offer you an overseas business address. But at Ngee Ann, you can count on our newly set-up Shanghai Overseas Centre to be your “business address” when you network with the local enterprises and the business community. You will also get to attend classes delivered by international business practitioners. Through their mentorship and the networking, you will learn the art of doing business in one of the world’s most vibrant cities.

Key partnerships

Through our partnership with the Singapore Shippers’ Academy (SA), you can also look forward to off-campus lessons, learning trips and internships with companies that have international operations. SA is set up by the Singapore National Shippers’ Council which represents interests of organisations including the Singapore International Chamber of Commerce and the various Chambers of Commerce. In addition, with endorsement by the Singapore Business Federation, IBZ has a strong international network of business contacts to support your learning.

So, are you ready to take off with IBZ? Don’t forget to keep your passport with you at all times as you may just have to catch a flight for your next lesson!

Career Prospects

Be a global entrepreneur or build a career in a wide range of professions such as a business development executive, sales and marketing executive, HRM professional, operations and logistics executive and an international buyer. You can also find employment in various industries and sectors with global reach such as services, trading, property development, education, tourism and hospitality, financial and healthcare.
