ABOUT THE DIPLOMA
Do you spend a lot of time on social media tools such as Google and Facebook? Well, as a Business Information Technology (BIT) student, you won’t just use them to connect with your friends, you’ll use them to make businesses more successful!
After all, running a smart business in a technology-driven world is what BIT professionals are all about. And with your business know-how and IT savviness, companies will rely on you to keep them ahead of the competition!
New Media, New Knowledge
Take up a Diploma in Business Information Technology (BIT) and you’ll be exposed to an exciting range of interactive learning approaches using Facebook, YouTube and Google Apps. Other e-learning platforms include e-games, blogs, podcasts, vodcasts, wikis, forums, chats and virtual worlds.
You will also be trained to use these new media tools and other IT-driven business solutions in product development, marketing and customer service.
The Choice Is Yours
You can choose from a wide array of pathways and electives in your final year at BIT.
For those on the lookout for industry experience, you can go for an intensive six month internship either locally or abroad.
If you wish to create something new with the help of IT, then sign up for the Technopreneurship Incubation Programme (TIP). This programme will give you a taste of what goes on behind the scenes in a technology-driven business as you hone your entrepreneurial and IT skills.
Alternatively, you can choose to study Tourism, Marketing or Finance in greater depth. You will learn to apply business intelligence, digital marketing and financial analytics in these fields.
